Voices of Argyll, Cowal’s new and exciting women’s choir is set to give its first in person concert on Friday 20th May at 7.30pm in St John’s Church, Dunoon. Tickets are £10 and available from Eventbrite. The summer programme will include Bob Chilcott’s Little Jazz Mass accompanied by Lynda Norris (piano), Lynette Eaton (Bass), Hugh Cox and Fiona McNeill (Drums and percussion). There are also works by leading female composer Sarah Quartel as well as guest soloist Ruaraidh McBain who is a scholarship holder with Scottish Opera’s Young Company. Voices of Argyll’s Artistic Director is Alison McNeill who conducts the National Junior Choir of Northern Ireland, the National Youth Choir of Scotland Boys Choir and is Assistant Director of RSNO Junior Chorus. She is also lead singer and fiddler with folk rock band Reely Jiggered and has sung as soprano soloist with the RSNO Orchestra.
