Voices of Argyll began it's second year in October 2022 with a full programme of concerts. The first was the Dunoon Jazz and Blues Festival in the Burgh Hall where the choir performed Bob Chilcott's Little Jazz Mass, World Music and Gospel repertoire under the baton of Director Alison McNeill, accompanied by Sian Campbell (piano) and Fiona McNeill (percussion).
The choir were delighted to be asked to support celebrated Traditional Singer Eddi Reader on her 40 Years Live Tour in Tarbert to a very warm audience. Shortly after this concert, the choir sang at the United Nations International Day for Eliminating Violence Against Women with guest speak MSP Jenni Minto.
At Christmas, Voices of Argyll got out into the community singing in Ashgrove Care Home to a delighted and full hall of residents. A few members of the choir along with our Director Alison McNeill and vocal coach Anne Lawrence went to Dunoon Community radio to be interviewed by Victor Thomas and promote our Carols by Candlelight concert in the High Kirk where the choir were joined by young singers from Angel Voices and accompanied by Hebba Benyaghla, violinist Chun- Yi and percussionist Fiona McNeill. Voices of Argyll were also guest choir for award winning folk rock band Reely Jiggered at their Celtic Christmas Concert where they released their latest Christmas single.
